Our bible character series takes an in-depth look at one person in the Bible and their full story. Their history and background are examined along with key events in their life. The purpose is to find helpful lessons from their lives which we can apply to our lives today and pass it on to the next generation. Lessons learned from these Bible characters are extremely practical and are ideal for small groups, the church as a whole and individuals.
GOD’S GRAND STORY
A God’s Grand Story campaign
This designed to involve the entire church community in engaging in the grand story of the Bible and prayer on a daily basis for six weeks.
By understanding and applying God’s big story in community, we anticipate the following:
- A habit of daily Bible engagement and focused prayer will be established
- Participants will have a much deeper understanding of how all the parts of the Bible fit together—and be encouraged by God’s grand plan of salvation for all people
- Small groups or Sunday School classes will be energized by engaging in God’s Word together with the entire church
- Individuals coming to know Christ through this unique outreach opportunity
- The whole church community will be transformed through the power of God’s living Word

Detour (Finding purpose when life does not make sense)
What if the detour is the only way to the destination? For Joseph, the “end” of his dreams was really just the beginning. Joseph’s detour wasn’t a detour after all. It was God’s sovereign plan. regardless of the pain, the challenges, and the adversity, we go through, the glory of our story will be worth in the land.
CHOSEN (When God calls your name)
You have a mission in life, whether you fully understand what it is right now or not. God partners with human beings to accomplish His purposes. He chooses, He calls, and He leads. So what do you do when he has chosen you? Mary, the mother of Jesus is a great example of how to respond when God calls your name. she offers life-changing lessons for any believer. And she may be the toughest person you’ve encountered.
CRUCIBLE (The choices that change your life forever)
Moments of decision. Your life is full of them, and how you respond can have a lifelong impact. The decision process can be as intense as a crucible (a vessel in a refining fire, a place where precious substances are tested, purified, and strengthened).
REVOLUTION
The news is bad, times are tough, and an 8-year-old has taken the throne. Judah’s young king, Josiah, inherited tough times from the generations before him, and God worked through him to make sweeping changes for the good of his nation. If Josiah were living today, we would call him a Millennial. God can use anyone, regardless of age, to fulfil His purpose. In Josiah’s life as well as our own, God’s word changes everything. All it takes are willing hearts for him to bring about a revolution in our communities, our nation, and our world.
